Archery Hunts

Elk, Deer and or Antelope combo

Montana has a six week archery season that opens the first or second Saturday in Sept. and closes in mid Oct. Eastern Mt. has long been known for the trophy quality of its whitetail and mule deer. The last few years it has also become known as home to some of the world's largest elk.
Mill Iron camp:  All hunts will be conducted with a maximum of two hunters in camp per week. Hunts are conducted from tree stands or groundblinds over waterholes or trails between morning and evening feeding and bedding areas. Hunting techniques also include spotting and stalking along with occasionally bugling or cow calling bull elk. This hunt should be considered primarily for deer (whitetail or mule deer) with an excellent opportunity to take an elk or antelope.  When hunting antelope we will use various techniques such as spot and stalk, decoys, or sitting in blinds over waterholes.
