This is a gorgeous hunting area in the Saphire Mountains east of Hamilton and Darby, Montana. The Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness region is known for being independent and rugged - the big game hunting is fantastic and it's the only camp where we offer horse and spike camp access (in addition to our lodge-based hunts). We hunt 1.2 million acres here!
Hunting & Terrain
Alongside the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, our Hamilton camp provides top-notch Montana trophy bull elk hunting (archery & rifle hunts). The rocky terrain in this part of Western Montana features lodgepole pine, subalpine meadows, open ridges, burns, and mountain creeks - it's premium spot-and-stalk hunting terrain. Additionally, we offer (if you're lucky enough to draw these tags) bighorn sheep, Shiras moose, mountain goat, winter mountain lion hunts, and spring/autumn bear hunts (an over-the-counter tag).

Lodging & Meals
Lodge accommodations include most of the amenities of home, including hot showers, meals, Wi-Fi, and frequent cell phone service coverage. Hearty breakfasts and suppers are served family-style in the dining room each day with lunches typically eaten in the field.
Our elk hunting spike/tent camps are comfortable and memorable Rocky Mountain elk hunting adventures that feature hot showers, a full-time cook, cot-style beds, sturdy canvas wall tents, and well-behaved horses and mules to do a lot of the heavy work. There's no better way to spend your entire hunt in the heart of premium western elk hunting terrain!
Staffing & Capacity
Depending on the time of year and or group size, we operate with 2 - 5 guides and can accommodate up to 10 hunters in camp at a time. From our conveniently located lodge and spike camps, we are able to treat our hunters to some of the best hunting Montana has to offer.
